About us
We offer quality taxidermy at affordable prices and pride ourselves on our customer service and quality pieces. We work on all kinds of taxidermy, but mainly mount birds and game heads up to Roe deer size with a special interest in fox masks. We also buy and sell interesting pieces of taxidermy, natural history items including skulls and Victorian domes.
Since my earliest memory I have always had an interest in wildlife and taxidermy. Spending my childhood in the Northeast, I had regular visits to the Hancock Museum to look at the taxidermy, and as a kid, spent many hours collecting and observing wildlife, something that would not be condoned today.
It was while working for the RSPCA in Cumbria, rescuing wildlife, that I thought I would "Give Taxidermy a go", much to my chiefs dismay, as he thought that wasn't a great hobby to have considering the occupation.
Since the beginning, I have striven to learn, improve, and offer the best service possible. Largely self taught, I am approachable, friendly and will endeavour to meet the needs of my clients.
I have also trained with and met some wonderful people through taxidermy and have travelled to California, where I have studied techniques pioneered by Carl Akeley and the Jonas Brothers under mentor Chuck Testa, as well as attending seminars run by the Guild of Taxidermists in the UK.
I have had the pleasure of working on some great projects for various clients which include
MTV, The BBC, Channel 5, Netflix, Warner Brothers Films, Colonel Porters, (Newcastle), Derren Brown (Illusionist), The Irregulars (TV Series) & Elgin Museum
